We’re going on an adventure. We’re building a studio from the ground up, which is both exciting and difficult - mistakes might happen, but we will learn and move on. Artists
Artists build the worlds that our players are going to inhabit. We think it’s the job of the artists on the team to inspire and be inspired by the work that the rest of the team does. Artists at Moon Rover embrace new technologies, are broad collaborators and creatively generous; ready to work with other artists, disciplines or studios as needed.
Senior Tech Artist
As a Senior Technical Artist, you’re the link between tech and art, you speak both languages and work closely with the art team and other stakeholders. You will ensure all artwork comes to life while keeping an eye on performances. You will support and coordinate with everyone to keep the work smooth and find the best solutions for optimizing the project.
Who are you?
Someone with:
- Proven senior experience shipping in a modern game engine, on PC or current-gen Console, preferably with Unreal Engine 5
- Ideally, you’ve shipped at least one AAA project and are familiar with the technical challenges involved
- You’ve got a strong grasp of tools creation, procedural generation, scripting, and shading
- You communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in writing and verbally
- Strong proficiency in Python and HLSL, 3D Modelling software like Maya or Blender
- If you happen to know C++ and/or Houdini, that would be an added bonus but certainly not mandatory!

About Moon Rover Games
Moon Rover Games is a game development studio located in Stockholm, Sweden. Our founding team has spent decades working on blockbuster franchises such as Battlefield, Far Cry, Star Wars Battlefront, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Mirror’s Edge, and more, and eventually decided to strike out on their own to explore new worlds and new ways to create them.
Our first game is an ambitious cooperative action game set in a new IP and designed to generate unique emergent gameplay stories that players can truly make their own.
